Paul Zaferiou, IALD, RA, Principal

Mr. Zaferiou has degrees in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Oregon and is a registered architect. In his 23 years of lighting consulting experience with Lam Partners Inc, he has managed scores of projects representing a wide range of project types and geographic locations. His professional experience is complemented by his teaching and authoring of articles on architectural lighting design.



Robert Osten, IALD, RA, Principal

Mr. Osten has a degree in Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a registered architect. In his 25 years of lighting design and consulting experience, he has managed hundreds of projects totaling several billion dollars in construction cost. He has taught and lectured on architectural lighting, and is the author of several articles and technical papers. Complementing his work in artificial lighting design, he has a particular interest in architectural daylighting, and is the primary developer of Lam Partners Inc's "Sunscan" daylight model-testing software.


Keith Yancey, AIA, P.E., LC, IALD, Principal

Mr. Yancey received his Bachelor of Architectural Studies and Master of Architectural Engineering degrees from Oklahoma State University. He is a registered architect and professional engineer with 22 years of experience in the field, and a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and the International Association of Lighting Designers. He is NCQLP Lighting Certified.


Jennifer Pieszak, IALD, Senior Associate

Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science in Art and Design and a Masters degree in Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. A practicing lighting designer since 1984, Jennifer has received numerous IIDA lighting awards, as well as an A|L Light + Architecture Design Award.


Glenn Heinmiller, LC, IALD, Senior Associate

Glenn received his B.A. in Theater from Wesleyan University, specializing in stage lighting design. He is NCQLP Lighting Certified, holds an IES Certificate of Technical Knowledge, and is the recipient of an IALD Award of Merit and several IIDA Awards of Merit. Glenn teaches Lighting Design at the Boston Architectural College, is a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and the International Dark-Sky Association.


Justin Brown, Designer

Justin received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. His additional experience in metal work and fabrication have allowed him to specialize in custom fixture design as a lighting designer at Lam Partners. He is the recipient of three IIDA Awards of Merit.


Carlene Geraci, Designer

Carlene graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Architecture. She has worked in the lighting design profession since 1994. Carlene is a member of the Illumination Engineering Society of North America and the Designers Lighting Forum of New England, and is the recipient of several lighting design awards.


William Lewis, LC, Designer

Will holds a degree in Architectural Engineering, specializing in lighting design, from Pennsylvania State University. Will is NCQLP Lighting Certified, and an IALD Associate Member. He has taught Lighting Design at Suffolk University, the Boston Architectural College, and Endicott College.


James Perry, Designer

Jamie has a B.S. in Building Science, a B. ARCH degree, and an M.S. in Lighting Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is the recipient of an IIDA Award of Merit and an A|L Light + Architecture Design Award.


Matthew Latchford, Designer

Matt received Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Architectural Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. His work in lighting design has been recognized with an IIDA Award of Merit. Superior technical knowledge has been his hallmark on recent work including a large corporate headquarters building, daylit commercial interiors, and a medical school educational facility.


Daniel Weissman, Design Assistant

Dan received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. He teaches lighting at the Boston Architectural College, and is the recipient of a Nuckolls Fund grant to develop further coursework in Lighting Design. His 3D modeling and graphics skills have been put to use on recent projects such as a new performing arts center, a green building resource center, and several retail store prototypes.


Anna Baranczak, Design Assistant

Anna studied Architectural History at Sarah Lawrence College, and has a background in theatrical lighting. She specializes in model and mock-up construction and daylight analysis, as well as graphics and presentation. Recent work includes a custom daylight diffusing assembly with integrated electric lighting for a new art museum, a university student services building renovation, and a new high school design.


Nathanael Doak, Design Assistant

Nathanael received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He has additional experience in residential construction and design. He excels in CAD, renderings, and hand drawing. Recent lighting design work has included a new public park, a mixed use facility, and a new museum for American art.
