SARAH FISHER, IALD, LEED BD+C, LC

PRINCIPAL

Sarah has been obsessed with lighting for as long as anyone in her family can remember. Her career began in theatrical lighting, serving in all capacities, from lighting designer to union stagehand – and everything in between. Prior to pursuing her Master’s degree in Architectural Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design, she was sidetracked with the opportunity to work as a lighting director in broadcast television. Additionally, she serves on multiple RP committees for the IES, and embraces all facets of a good lighting design challenge. When not obsessing about light, Sarah enjoys exploring New England with her family, listening to music, and is on a quest to find the best fish taco in the region.

Steve Iski, IALD, MIES, LC LEED AP

PRINCIPAL / PITTSBURGH DIRECTOR

Fifteen years ago, Steve Iski started a lighting design firm in Pittsburgh, based on the beliefs that lighting enhances a person’s experience with architecture, and that design is a collaborative process. Since that time, he’s been involved in over 350 projects across the globe, including lighting/daylighting of the ‘Greenest Skyrise in America’. His interests extend to product development, with which he has been involved in the design of numerous custom and standard fixtures. The merger of studioi with Lam Partners expands upon this success, and extends the reach and skills of the combined firm. As a Principal and Pittsburgh Director of Lam Partners, Steve’s role is to continue to share his beliefs about lighting and design.

Matt Latchford

mattlatchford

Matt Latchford, PE, IALD, MIES, LC, LEED AP BD+C

PRINCIPAL

Matt joined Lam Partners’ team in 2006 and has literally taken the firm to new places.  After four years in the Cambridge office, he moved to Richmond, Virginia to start up the first Lam Partners satellite office, building Lam’s client base and reach to the mid-Atlantic region and beyond.  In 2018, he teamed up with Steve Iski and his lighting design firm, studio i in Pittsburgh, PA. This ushered in a merger between Lam Partners and studio i, creating a multi-dimensional/multi-location company.  Together with Steve, he leads the Pittsburgh office and the mid-Atlantic design efforts as a principal in the firm.

Matt is a licensed Professional Architectural Engineer, a Professional Member of the IALD, a LEED Accredited Professional, is NCQLP Lighting Certified, and a member of the IES.  Matt’s superior technical knowledge, with specialties in lighting controls systems and daylighting, has been his hallmark in recent work focusing on large-project and international sustainable design.  When not escaping to the hills for a hike or pushing his kids’ bikes, he dabbles in some extracurricular industry work — developing future code language, giving presentations, and teaching.  He has participated in local USGBC chapters, was a member of the IEQ TAG for the USGBC, and is a current member of the IALD’s Energy and Sustainability Committee.
