Senior Lighting Designer
Oversee the design and execution of lighting projects in accordance with the technical and visual components of a production’s needs. Assess the feasibility of projects and consider necessary technical and visual components to be executed. Prepare technical information regarding design specifications, materials, light and equipment, cost estimates, and construction timelines. Produce rendering and visual presentation materials to document proposed design solutions. Create and review integrated lighting architectural detail drawings and designs in coordination with other professionals, such as architects, structural and electrical engineers, and interior designers. Finalize plan layouts for lighting elements for integration by the design team into cohesive architectural designs. Manage and document progress through field reports from on-site visits and assessments. Create budget reports and strategize the maintenance of energy levels within the determined cost. Prepare comprehensive reports and lists on material and equipment needs for engineering and construction personnel. Create lighting design memorandums and keep clients, manufacturers, and product representatives up to date with project progress. Review the maintenance of lighting projects to ensure consistent quality over time. Conduct ongoing research on trends in architectural and lighting design to provide solutions for specific assignment objectives.

Requirements
The position requires a Master’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related position. This requirement can be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in Revit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Rhino, and DIVA.

40 hours/week.
