This financial services firm set out to renovate two floors of their Salt Lake City office with two goals: bring the working spaces up to their real estate portfolio standards, and provide unique location-specific touches.

The building’s existing in-floor conditioning system set the stage for the owner’s pursuit of clean and coordinated ceilings. Lighting fixture location became a key focus for the design team, with each fixture needing to be intentionally placed to balance function, aesthetic, and coexistence with architectural elements.

Visual comfort and flexibility were key aspects of the project. Soft, general illumination unites the spaces and allows for future furniture layouts. In particular, indirect electric illumination balances with copious amounts of daylight.
