Zora Liu – Cambridge Office

Passionate about creating meaningful lighting experiences, Zora strives to develop thoughtful lighting solutions that enhance both the built environment and the human experience. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Architectural Engineering at Pennsylvania State University, where her research focuses on lighting, human perception, and sustainable design. She holds a master’s degree in Light and Lighting from University College London (UCL) and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from Jiangnan University in China. Zora is the recipient of the 2026 IALD Education Trust Thomas Lemons Scholarship, sponsored by Available Light. Outside of lighting, Zora enjoys sketching, reading, playing badminton, swimming, and hiking.

Angie Batson – Pittsburgh Office

Angie is passionate about creating lighting solutions that enhance architecture and shape a building’s experience. Drawn to lighting for its unique blend of art and engineering, she enjoys the process of “painting with light” to bring spaces to life and support both aesthetic vision and functional performance. She is entering her fifth year at Pennsylvania State University, where she is pursing her integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering. Outside of lighting, Angie enjoys painting and drawing, playing tennis, watching sports, reading, and traveling.

Thomas Lancaster – Cambridge Office

Thomas discovered lighting design at a young age through the faders of a concert lighting rig. After supporting several concerts, he realized he wanted to create designs with a more permanent impact. Drawn to architectural lighting for its ability to shape everyday experiences, Thomas is currently studying architecture at Northeastern University and expanding his understanding of lighting through practice. Outside of the office, he enjoys running, biking, and swimming—and is loosely training for a triathlon—as well as attending free Berklee concerts, traveling, photography, and making things by hand.
