Meet Our Summer Interns
24 July 25
We are pleased to welcome our summer interns to Lam Partners!

Miles Springer – Cambridge Office
Miles is passionate about using light in creative ways to highlight architectural elements and evoke emotional responses. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in architectural engineering at the University of Nebraska, where he was first introduced to William Lam’s lighting design principles. An active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society, Miles participates in Emerging Professionals events and was awarded the Besal Fund Scholarship from Acuity Brands, which supports promising students in the lighting industry.
Outside of lighting, Miles enjoys playing guitar, visiting museums, mountain biking, hiking, photography, and spending time with family and friends. He has appreciated his time in Boston and looks forward to a bright future in the field of lighting design.
Welcome Miles!

Olivia Knoechel – Pittsburgh Office
Drawn to lighting for its seamless blend of creative design and innovative technology, Olivia is especially inspired by the psychological and physiological aspects that inform the field. Currently entering her fourth year in Penn State’s integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program in Architectural Engineering, she is excited to continue exploring lighting design as a career path.
Outside of academics, she enjoys running as a member of Penn State’s club cross country team, as well as painting, reading, playing music, and spending time outdoors.
Welcome Olivia!
