The lighting design for this 250,000-square-foot residential development in Burlington, MA was thoughtfully integrated to support both the architectural expression and the resident experience. The five-story structure featured a mix of materials—including brick, stone, metal, and fiber cement panels—that were accentuated with carefully selected exterior lighting to enhance the building’s street presence along Middlesex Turnpike. Special attention was given to the building’s S-shaped footprint, where two second-floor courtyards created opportunities for ambient outdoor lighting to support fire pits, grill areas, and seating under a metal pergola, enriching the nighttime atmosphere for residents.

Interior lighting strategies focused on comfort, functionality, and aesthetic coherence across various amenity spaces. The game room, lounge with fireplace, and private event spaces were illuminated with layered lighting approaches to create flexible, inviting environments. Circulation and parking areas, including the post-tensioned podium deck and 169 covered garage spaces, were lit for clarity and safety using durable, energy-efficient fixtures. Throughout the building, lighting controls and systems were tailored to balance visual interest with operational efficiency, aligning with the project’s emphasis on wellness and an elevated residential lifestyle.
