Highlights of this historic library renovation design include a re-creation of the original Wick Avenue historic entrance and a complete restoration of the main interior grand hall, including the glass ceiling and skylight above. The expanded children’s library features a custom, interactive literacy-based play area and expanded collections and activity spaces. A maker space showcases local creators, while an updated local history and genealogy room celebrates regional history. The expansion includes a state-of-the-art culinary literacy space, plus a large community and event space that overlooks and can open to a new urban park, replacing a parking lot along Wick Avenue.
