Glenn Heinmiller

FIALD, LEED AP, LC
Principal

Glenn has been designing daylight and electric lighting systems for a diverse range of academic, commercial, institutional, and civic projects for over 40 years. He is a fellow of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), Chairman of the IALD Energy and Sustainability Committee, and is a frequent presenter at Greenbuild, the world’s largest conference dedicated to green building. The house Glenn grew up in subconsciously influenced his eventual career choice. It was a modernist house that his parents had designed and built for them in 1952, and included the latest in lighting technology — integrated fluorescent lighting, low-voltage lighting controls, color mixing effects, and daylight shading systems.
