Glenn Heinmiller Appointed to ICC Commercial Consensus Committee

Lam Partners principal Glenn Heinmiller was recently appointed by the International Code Council (ICC) to the ICC Commercial Consensus Committee to represent the IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers) in the development of the 2027 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). In this prestigious appointment, Glenn will provide input on updating the IECC for energy efficiency, taking into account items such as cost, energy usage, natural resources, and impact of energy usage on the environment. Congratulations Glenn!

Integrated: A Cultural History of the “Non-Detail”

At the IALD Enlighten Americas Conference this past fall in San Diego, Associate Principal Dan Weissman and Senior Lighting Designer Srushti Totadri presented “Integrated: A Cultural History of the ‘Non-Detail” – referring to coves, slots, and illuminated planes that avoid any visible light source and have come to define modern and contemporary architecture.

Light Up Boston

In its 5th year, “Light Up Boston” brings Brighter Boston interns to a Boston landmark to reimagine its architectural lighting through the lens of our youth. In collaboration with Available Light and Retonica, Lam Partners/Lam Labs shares with the interns the beauty of lighting design within an architectural setting. This annual event is part of Brighter Boston’s career pathways program to open the doors for these teens/20-somethings to explore architectural lighting design as a potential career path.

Night Lights in New Lebanon

Lighting design breaks free from architectural confines and transforms into captivating landscape installations at the second annual Night Lights in New Lebanon! Two Lammers, along with lighting designers from across the nation, collaborated for a one-night-only event, turning a quarter-mile trail into a wonderland with nearly 20 unique installations.
